Via print and web, Line 58 was sought out to find just the right voice for Flavor Paper, somewhere between wah-wah pedal funk and information-age cool.

Even when you’re talking about walls, you still have to think out of the box.
From the logo to collateral materials, our solutions built upon the hip, hand-screened look of their custom product. Even the business cards included hand-applied stickers that were developed from the original 1970s screens. In contrast, the use of contemporary typography serves to communicate the modern nature of the energetic and visionary young company. Yet, it was more than just a pretty face. Serious thought went into brand messaging that communicates just the right voice for the company.
Brooklyn-based Flavor Paper came to Line 58 in 2003 before they had ever printed their first roll of wallpaper. Since then, we’ve built a brand, created collateral materials and launched a revenue producing e-commerce website for them. And now you'll find Flavor Paper adorning some pretty impressive walls!
A new responsive, e-commerce website
As more success followed, including the launch of a new collection in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts in 2013, Flavor Paper found itself in need of an updated website that could handle the increased retail traffic. Line 58 responded by creating a new website that provided an e-commerce component and an enhanced client experience.
Instead of our customers getting frustrated and leaving the website, Line 58 simplified and streamlined our entire system, creating a responsive e-commerce website that makes it easy for our customers to intuitively make purchases.

Once Flavor Paper got a taste of success, the feast was on. With Line 58’s branding, the company outgrew their studio in Bywater District of New Orleans and relocated to Brooklyn, where they developed a showcase headquarters.
As they continue to break new barriers on what is possible to achieve with wall coverings, Flavor Paper’s client list has grown both in numbers and in stature. Their wallpaper can be found in a range of installations across the country and in different visual modes – on walls, ceilings and displays – with such notable names as Lenny Kravitz, Nike, W Hotels, the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City, among their clientele.
